I stand and stare out the window
dreaming My Loves,
For it seems an eternity since our parting.
I close my eyes and visions of his wondrous face
Nay, tis not enough to merely dream,
I long for his touch,
to taste his lips upon mine.
My body aches with longing,
to feel his arms around me.
My ears long to hear his voice
murmuring his love to me.
The thoughts of this invade my very soul.
My Ladies come to me with looks
of worry on their faces.
They bid me to come away from the window,
before, I catch a chill.
Tis not, the cold that causes me to shiver so,
but, the anticipation of your return.
The shadows outside my window grow long.
As the time for your return draws near.
My heart begins to soar,
for on the far horizon,
Could it be my Lord returning to me?
Nay, tis not, the disappointment is great.
The pain unbearable.
Will you never return to me?
Hearing a voice that fills me
with wondrous feelings of joy,
I slowly turn hardly daring to believe
I run into your arms holding you tightly
vowing to never let you go.
My world is filled with peace and joy again.
My Love, MIlord has returned at last!
