                        Being a child means innocence
                         Fun
                         Love
                         Imagination
                         Awe at the world
                         Discovery
                         Learning

                        Being a child means
                         No worries
                         Being cared for
                         Safety
                         Love

                        Until that is lost
                        ripped away by age
                        Must it be this way?

                        Who's to say?
                         Not, I
                        For life has taught
                         the child must die

                        But I have found
                        The child still lives
                        Deep within us all
 
                        For those with strength
                        This child can thrive
